09/13 to 10/13 10 Classes Wednesday, Friday 5:00pm-6:00pm $275/term Location: Online20This is the CogAt test preparation class for 3rd-grade students in Elementary school to qualify for the TAG program. The purpose is to let students study the test skills and get better performance in the test. The long term benefit of this class is to help students improve the cognitive and reasoning abilities by learning logical and creative thinking behind the materials, which are critical for their future success.
This class is an intensive test preparation class which will go through all 9 sections in CogAt tests, but with more focus on the 3 screening sections: Verbal Analogies, Figure Matrices, and Number Analogies. The CogAt screening test will be given to all 3rd graders in BSD schools at the end of October.
Students who get 97% or plus in the screening test will be invited to take the full test in Dec. Students who get 99%+ in the full test will be identified as TAG students in elementary school.
Sunshine will provide all testing materials for students to practice with. We use the online practice test with instant scoring and report along with the classes. All online practice test reports are saved in your Sunshine account and you may check your child's performance via the "Assessment Tests" link in your account.

The class will go through a full length CogAt test to learn the strategies for each section but focus more on solving the hard problems

This Summer online class is the replacement of our original Summer CogAT camps. Students who have finished the fundamental training class in the Winter/Spring term may continue to improve more by this class in Summer.

Academic Advance and SUMMA Test Preparation CogAt Camp for Grade 3
This 2 weekly-half-day camp package is to prepare students for the CogAt tests in the coming Fall term.
This is a SUMMA Package for rising 3rd graders in Elementary school who would like to prepare for the SUMMA CogAt tests. The tests can be selected to take in the coming Fall semester. Scoring 99 percentile in CogAt test will qualify for SUMMA in middle school. Or scoring one 99 percentile in ITBS Math or Reading, plus one 97 percentile in another ITBS test or CogAt test will qualify for SUMMA too.
This camp will teach the skills for all 9 sections in CogAt tests and do practice and mock tests. Summer CogAt test preparation are designed to finish by 2 weeks of half-day camps. In 2 weeks of CogAt Camps, we will work through 9 sections of CogAt: Verbal Analogy, Verbal Classification, Verbal Sentence Completion, Number Analogy, Number Puzzles, Number Series, Figure Analogy, Figure Classification, and Paper Folding.

The class will cover information about the format of the SSAT/HSPT, its timing, scoring, and content, We will learn through the test skills and tips by practice tests for each section.
